Robles reiterates that Ceuta and Melilla are untouchable in Congress
Defense Minister Margarita Robles defended the sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla in Congress today.

During her speech in the Congress of Deputies on August 25, Defense Minister Margarita Robles asserted that Ceuta and Melilla are part of Spain and that their sovereignty is indisputable. Robles emphasized the government's firmness in the face of any violation of this sovereignty and defended the role of the National Intelligence Center (CNI) in the migratory crisis in the region.
The debate intensified following criticisms from the Popular Party (PP) and Vox, who demanded that Robles clarify the discrepancies between her and Interior Minister Fernando Marlaska regarding whether the CNI had issued warnings about the situation in Ceuta and Morocco's involvement in the crisis.
This exchange occurs against a backdrop of growing tension regarding the government's management of migratory issues, with Robles responding to questions about the protocol and the actions taken by authorities in light of the influx of migrants at the border.
