A new legislation for the sector of Transport in Unmarked Vehicle (TVDE) was published this Tuesday in the Diário da República, allowing taxis to operate on the same platform as TVDE services starting September 1.
With the new law, the possibility of video recording inside vehicles is included, a measure aimed at increasing passenger safety. Additionally, the removal of the cap on dynamic pricing may result in higher rates for TVDE services.
The publication of the new regulation has been widely covered by the media, highlighting the significant changes the law brings to the automotive sector in Portugal. The impacts and new practices have yet to be fully explored.
