Temperature of 45.7°C recorded in Spain, highest of the year
In Andalusia, the highest temperature of the year has been recorded at 45.7°C, matching the existing record for September.

On Thursday, a temperature of 45.7 degrees Celsius was measured in El Granado, located in the province of Huelva in southwestern Spain. This marks the highest temperature recorded in Spain since the beginning of the year.
According to the Spanish meteorological agency, Aemet, this temperature equals the existing record for the month of September. The country has already experienced several heatwaves this summer, with temperatures repeatedly exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
Reports indicate that these heatwaves in Europe have been accompanied by wildfires, flooding in Asia, and typhoons around the Indian Ocean. These extreme weather conditions have garnered attention from media worldwide.

At the same time, HLN reports that wildfires are again raging in southern France. A number of thirty people have been evacuated from affected areas, while an estimated 225 hectares, equivalent to about 450 football fields, have been destroyed by the fires.
The combination of high temperatures and ongoing drought has led to an increased risk of wildfires in Europe. Many of these regions are already vulnerable due to prior climatic conditions.
The situation continues to be closely monitored, as both Spain and France prepare for further possible extreme weather conditions.
