Apple has announced its upcoming iPhone launch event for September 9 at 1 PM ET. The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, with invites sent out that carry the tagline 'Surprise and shine'. The company will also provide a livestream of the event on its website.

This launch event is notable as it marks the first major event under the leadership of new CEO John Ternus, who officially assumes his role on September 1, following Tim Cook's tenure. Ternus will lead the event as Apple is expected to unveil new iPhone models alongside other products.

Reports indicate that analysts anticipate the introduction of several new devices during the event, including Apple's first foldable iPhone and new models of Apple Watches. The event generated excitement among industry watchers, highlighting Apple's innovative direction under its new CEO.

While details about the specific devices to be launched remain unconfirmed, various sources have speculated on the significance of showcasing a foldable option, placing the company in competition with other manufacturers in the smartphone market.

This event follows a series of product launches by Apple over the past year, where the company has focused on blending hardware advancements with its existing ecosystem. Further details are expected to be revealed as the event date approaches.
