Lula and Alcolumbre meet at Petrobras event in Amapá
President Lula and Senate President Davi Alcolumbre met today at a Petrobras event in Amapá, following a political rapprochement.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP) participated today in a Petrobras event in Amapá, where they exchanged public compliments.
This was the first public meeting between the two since the rapprochement that ended a more than three-month estrangement. Their relationship had broken down in April when the Senate rejected the nomination of Jorge Messias for a position on the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
During the event, Lula and Alcolumbre emphasized the importance of dialogue between institutions and collaboration on projects for the state of Amapá.

The visit took place in the municipality of Oiapoque, located at the northern tip of the state, where a Petrobras drillship was presented.
The meetings between the two political leaders signify an effort to restore interaction and collaborative work following a period of tension in their political relationship.
